It’s a powerful story exploring the emotions children experience when their voices go unheard in decisions about their lives, and is aimed at ages 4–8.

The Kid in the Courtroom tells the story of a young boy searching for his voice while caught in the middle of a confusing custody battle, where life-changing decisions are made by adults—and a judge who never asks to hear from him.

The book explores the emotions children experience when their voices go unheard in decisions about their lives, and reminds readers that no matter how young someone may be, their voice deserves to be heard.

Through this story, Cayden hopes to provide the resource he wishes he had growing up—one that helps children feel seen, heard, and empowered, while encouraging families to have meaningful conversations about emotions that often go unspoken during difficult family changes.

All orders placed through this page are for signed pre-order copies of The Kid in the Courtroom. Each copy will be personally signed by Cayden Brown and fulfilled directly by The Trespass Project team.

Please note that signed pre-order copies are fulfilled separately from standard retail copies sold through retailers such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Retail copies may become available through outside retailers beginning May 19, 2026, and may arrive sooner than signed copies ordered through this site.

Signed pre-orders determine the size of our initial signed print run. After pre-orders are collected, the books will be ordered from our printer, produced, shipped to our team, personally signed by Cayden Brown, prepared for fulfillment, and then mailed to customers. Because this process includes printing, delivery to our team, signing, packaging, and shipment, signed pre-order copies will not ship immediately after purchase or immediately on the May 19 release date.

We currently estimate that signed pre-order copies may take approximately 8–12 weeks from the official release date to be processed, signed, and shipped. This timeline is an estimate and may vary depending on final order volume, printer production timelines, freight delivery, and fulfillment capacity. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that this is a signed pre-order item with an extended fulfillment timeline.

Shipping is calculated at checkout. A flat domestic shipping rate of $7.00 applies to orders below $59, and orders of $59 or more qualify for free domestic shipping. The shipping rate displayed at checkout reflects the most current and accurate cost for your order.

Once your signed copy has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. We appreciate your patience as each order is handled with care.

All sales are final due to the signed and limited nature of this release. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact team@trespassproject.com within 7 days of delivery so that we can resolve the issue. We are unable to accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for reasons unrelated to damage, defect, fulfillment error, or the stated signed pre-order fulfillment timeline.

The Trespass Project reserves the right to update shipping timelines, pricing, and fulfillment procedures as needed to ensure quality and accuracy. The most current information will always be reflected on this page and at checkout.
